This memoir began as a legacy project for my family. It’s a record of what life was truly like in the years following the Great Depression, farm living, hard work, family roots, faith, community, and the decades of change that followed. Some stories are funny, some are hard, and some still feel unbelievable, even though they happened. My goal is simple: preserve the past so the next generations understand where they came from and what still matters.
